Payroll Specialist (Full-Time)
Join Samsara as a Payroll Specialist in San Diego, where your expertise in payroll processing will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees. This full-time, mid-level role is ideal for individuals with 3-5 years of payroll experience who excel at compliance, attention to detail, and managing sensitive financial information.


Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for employees across multiple locations.
  • Guarantee consistence with government, state, and nearby finance guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and tax filings.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to integrate payroll and benefits systems.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to support audits and internal reviews.
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up payroll accounts and direct deposits.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a mid to large-sized company.
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paylocity, or Workday.
  • Solid comprehension of finance regulations, charge guidelines, and consistence prerequisites.
  • Scrupulousness and capacity to deal with delicate data with classification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders.
  • Four year college education in Bookkeeping, Money, Business Organization, or a connected field (liked).

Skills & Experience

  • Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and tax filings.
  • Familiarity with benefit deductions, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.
  • Ability to manage payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Experience with payroll reporting and audit preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Solid authoritative and time usage abilities to fulfill severe time constraints.
  • Knowledge of global payroll systems is a plus but not required.
