Key Responsibilities

As a content creator, you will:

  • Collaborate with technical, product, and business teams to gather information for support content.
  • Create high-quality, easy-to-understand content that empowers support associates to perform their roles effectively.
  • Use data analysis, user research, and content audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with the business intelligence team to generate reports on content usage and effectiveness.
  • Continuously update and improve content accessibility, usability, and accuracy.
  • Address requests from associates for content updates or corrections.
  • Assist in scripting narration for multimedia training materials.

Requirements and Skills

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer in a tech company, creating internal and external support content.
  • 3+ years of experience using content management systems (CMS), basic HTML, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical subjects into customer-friendly content.
  • Experience applying and updating style guides for diverse audience types.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in structured authoring tools and markup languages (e.g., XML).
  • Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and DITA content creation.
  • Familiarity with multimedia content creation, including storyboarding for eLearning or training materials.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure in ambiguous situations.
