Key Responsibilities

As a patient enrollment coordinator, you will:

  • Enroll Patients: Persuade prospective patients to enroll with One Medical Seniors and encourage unengaged patients to schedule their first appointment.
  • Verify Insurance: Conduct insurance verification and outreach to ensure patients are aligned with One Medical Seniors.
  • Build Relationships: Nurture leads through scheduled phone cadences and convert assigned leads into enrolled patients.
  • Schedule Appointments: Arrange virtual and on-site doctor’s visits for patients.
  • Document Activity: Accurately document patient interactions in Salesforce.com and the patient portal.
  • Handle Calls: Manage inbound and outbound calls, following communication scripts and addressing patient needs.
  • Resolve Issues: Identify patient concerns, provide solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams during peak workflow periods.

What You Will NOT Be Doing

  • Cold Calling: This role focuses on nurturing existing leads and building relationships, not cold outreach.
  • Traditional Sales: You won’t be pushing products; instead, you’ll be guiding patients to the care they need.

Requirements and Skills

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in an inside sales role, customer service, health insurance verification, medical billing, or patient eligibility determination.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with computers and CRM tools like Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical terminology.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle phone, email, and chat simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to change and a passion for healthcare innovation.
  • Although not necessary, fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Comfortable working occasional nights and weekends.
  • Ability to attend practice events a few times per quarter in your local market.
