Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing on AWS services and applications.
• Perform manual source code audits (Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Rust, C, and more) to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop automated security tools to enhance security assessments.
• Identify and mitigate threats using advanced vulnerability testing methodologies.
• Partner with AWS development teams to improve application security and reduce risks.
• Lead red teaming exercises, bug bounty programs, and capture-the-flag (CTF) events.
• Provide clear risk mitigation guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Drive security automation initiatives to optimize security engineering processes.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and AWS security frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in security testing (penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, red teaming, or ethical hacking).
• Strong background in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM, KMS, API Gateway, etc.).
• Expertise in web application security, network security, cryptography, and threat modeling.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as the capacity for independent work.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills to document findings and security recommendations.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a remote workplace with distributed teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD security and automated security testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with GenAI security risks and AI-driven threat analysis.
• Industry certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or AWS Security Certifications.
• Experience in microservices, API-based, or service-oriented software architectures.
• Previous involvement in open-source security projects, bug bounty programs, or cybersecurity competitions.
